New Cowes Week Regatta Is Looking To Hire A New Director

The organizers of the Cowes Week the world-renowned are looking a new regatta director.


Cowes Week Limited (CWL) is looking to recruit a person who is familiar with yachting and racing circuit’ and the one who can ensure that the event remains in people’s mind and also the highlights of the global sailing calendar (GSC).

The year-round, the post is available for part-time after Phil Hagen left after the regatta of 2017, to focus on his other business interests.

Peter Taylor, the CWL chairman, said, “Searching the right director for the regatta is important to continue evolving the event on the water.

“This is an opportunity for someone who love sailing and who really make their mark in any of the premier regattas of world class.”

Commercial and marketing director of CWL, Kate Johnson, added that, “For Cowes It is an exciting time and the same is true for the event as well, as our new title sponsor, and a great family of supporting sponsors Lendy, is in the place to support the next level of the development of the regatta.”

The new director of the regatta will work for the event and he/she will be the part of a small executive team. In addition, he/she will also be the members of Cowes Combined Clubs (CCC).

The club has floated the application forms online for the applicants. And anyone who is interested can take the form from here. The last date to submit form is November 6 2017.
